Lincoln LS at KCIR?

any way to start the LS in 1st gear. I hate having it down shift, u lose so much time in that right there

i could be wrong but i think the only way is to get an x-cal and a custom tune

SST starts in 2nd with Gen1s, a tune can fix it. Hammering it just to waite for it to drop back down will never win a race.


Without a tune to maximize your cars potential you have to be fast with the shifter. SST mode shifts faster and will get the better time and mph but the only way to do it without starting in 2nd is too.

Launch in D5.
Once out of the hole move the shifter over to SST....you will be in 1st as you are full throttle. There is a kinda sweet spot, to early it will slam 2nd before you want too, to late and it will slam right into 3rd waaaaay early.


I ran like this alot before tune. Its not easy but once you have the knack you can do it. On the street it seems like a waste of time but against the clock....it works. 14.541 Gen1 with MagnaFlow and Intake tube, no tune.

the only way to do it without starting in 2nd is too Launch in D5.

Woul not having the car start in first cause the car to get better mpg anyway
