Lincoln LS at KCIR?

so who was the first gen LS or LSE at kcir on friday night? my roomate was there and was filling me in on the times you were running :) not bad at all.
 
that was me. i met your roommate in the burnout box. i ran a 15.23@92.68 best. i was launching at 2000rpm which now i regret after reading more on LVC about launches and i was in d5 not sst which i also regret. i also cut off my exhaust past the cats. next time i run (probly june 4th) im gonna run resonators with no mufflers instead and maybe gain some torque, idk. and im gonna try to have my new intake finshed, 4" aluminum tube with rubber elbows. this will mount up nicely with my 4" k&n. im gonna order some accel coils too. you should come out. i'm thinking of organizing a meet there this summer and ive been posting with a new member from nkc, refer to the 'i know, i know...' thread.
 
i dont know whats up with my times. 6 runs all within a tenth. i think i was lacking quite a bit of torque because of cutting off my exhaust. were around 1100 feet or so?? idk. it was hot and humid too. these were my first runs ever in the lincoln. couple of mods coming and different driving techniques to experiment with in two weeks
 
yeah man id love to meet up with you, although i don't really race mine and its completely stock at the moment ;)
 
im not lookin to win races, just to have fun. i got smoked all 6 runs, a Zo6 vette, 10 second camaro twice, a stang gt, and a pure race car that i have no idea what it was and something else. i had fun tho. if i can organize a meet this summer at KCIR maybe we can all do some bracket racing where consistency wins, not HP. im gonna post a thread soon to start the meet process but in the mean time i'll be there on friday june 4th. come on out

You never posted a timeslip and claimed it was at 93mph. I questioned it.

No scanner then, still dont have one now. Hell, I doubt I still have the time slip, I'll check in the car tho, might be one from a different run which that day IIRC, all my runs were around 14.4 @ 96-97. Question all you like, hopefully this summer Ill be posting a 13.xx run, but with video and a back-up run.
 
LSD before the converter otherwise the wheel spin issue will just be worse.

that is my plan as the LSD will require less work. Custom intake will be done in the next two weeks hopefully...maybe even accel coils. I am going to order those parts tomorrow i think
 
i also need to figure out if its possible to remove the hydraulic fan pump and upper idler pulley and use a shorter belt as i have converted to a flex-a-lite 180 electric cooling fan. that should give me at least 50 RWHP :D
 
just a universal electric fan you buy out of summit.

correct, it works perfectly so far. it came with a control box with a ac compressor fan control. i think it was around $300 from Summit, way cheaper than a new hydraulic fan unit. havent had any problems with too much amp draw but i do plan on buying a bigger alternator soon
 
any way to start the LS in 1st gear. I hate having it down shift, u lose so much time in that right there

Do you have SST?
I think mine starts off in 1st unless it just goes there because it knows that I put 75% of the throttle at all times.. :D
