Well i'm going to be getting one and im not sure if it has auto power on/off.. If it doesnt i want to just leave the fm transmitter on and leave the plug in the cig outlet in....Call me lazy but i see it as being a hassle..

If the power adapter/tranmitter are left on will it drain the battery? There not pulling that much power..

I'd also like to add that its just a power plug not a charger if that matters at all..

Ecuse me while I wrap my head around why you wouldnt wire the radar detector in to a switched source. That would drive me nuts. I even wired mine so that it does not cycle on twice and also is not on when the cars ignition is in ACC.

ima go double check..i just tapped it into a fuse w/ the proper fuse add on thing they sell at auto parts stores

Just checked..I guess it does turn off with the car.. my marquis must have been the one that was always on..
