Woke up this morning and the front of the car was on the ground - I started the car and the compressor fired right up and the car has been sitting at normal height all day. Is this a sign of the compressor beginning to fail, bag front bags or were the vents stuck open?

My car does this sometimes too. Let the compressor air up the bags, then turn off the air ride in the trunk and let the car sit overnight. If the front sinks again, then your bags are leaking.

Turning the switch off is a good way to test it for leaks, but don't just let it sit. DRIVE the car for a few days. Go here for instructions on the best way to leak test it: http://www.americanairsuspension.com/how-to leak test.htm

To learn why it leaks sometimes and not others, go here:http://www.americanairsuspension.com/why does it leak one day.htm

One thing is for sure, the faster you find and repair the leak, the more money you will save! "USUALLY" by the time someone realizes they have a leak, its already been leaking for 6 months+.

Procrastination and Air Suspension DO NOT MIX!

Well I did what the 1st link says. I drove the car for 20 minutes and it has been about 24 hours and the car is still holding. I didn't use the car all day today, funny thing though, the car seems to be sitting a little high all around? Maybe it is normal height compared to what it use to be, but everything looks good - any ideas? The compressor is a little loud and has been for a "few" years! I didn't try the soapy water thing - what do you think?

Did you turn off the Air Ride in the trunk?

If you haven't you still could have leaking bags.

The Compressor will keep your air bags up even when the car is turned off.

That is way you need to turn off the air ride system to see if you have leaking bags.

You will burn out your compressor if you don't replace leaking bags. This will cost you a whole lot more!

You can get after market bags for around $89 from Strutmasters or Struts are Us. They are the same companies that seel them on eBay.

Or you can get Original Equipment Bags from Eddy at American Air Suspension. Follow his link form his post.

Or you can from all three get an air bag replacement system. I know Sturts R U offers a great discount to Gold Members. I think it's 25%.

best way to test for leaks, turn the switch off in the trunk, push down on the front of your car, if you dont hear a "hisssing" sound your good. the samething happened to me with my front struts, i had a slow leak i pushed down on the front end... i heard "hisssing" im like hmmm, i got a leak in my bags.

I didn't turn off the suspension, I guess tonight will be a good test! I will keep you guys posted.

Here is the news, it stayed level over night but after 30 minutes of driving it the front end dropped. I guess I have some bad bags - so point me in the right direction.

Get them from Eddie,
dont try and save a few dollars and get them from Arnott.
Eddie sells TOP SHELF stuff and offers the best tech support known to man.

I'd suggest, support those that support US!

You dont see ANYONE from Arnott industries visiting the Mark 8 boards offering FREE advice, nor do arnott provide even close to the same quality as Eddie Does.

EDDIE IS THE MAN!
anyone else, is just looking to make a buck off you...
EDDIE actually "CARES".
