Just trying to do some fact finding here. For everyone with Kooks headers on their Gen 1 or Gen 2, have you tried to remove the starter with the headers in place? Is it easier or more difficult to remove?

difficult but not impossble. took out the top right bolt and the others are ok to get to.

Kook's headers aren't the problem. The oil pan is, at least with the K-Member in place.

starter is a pain in the ass, even with the whole car out of the way!...lol, dayum oil pan!

Its much more difficult with the headers. Before I would loosen or drop the exhaust and with the cat out of the way not an issue.

A few years ago I went threw a flood during a snow melt. Drove home and parked it overnight, morning came turned the key and nothing

Jump box still nothing

Went to Autozone and got a new starter. Amazingly the starter came out super easy but it was minus the upper bolt from some other person that replaced it :D

Turned out water in starter froze solid so one for the books on AVOID DEEP WATER in cold weather!

However I got an extension in where the upper bolt should have been and it didn't seem all that horrible?
