Know a better place for a big brake kit?

So I finnaly found a place that will redrill the rotors but not sure on cost. He said its $65 per hour and it seems to me an hour would be all thats needed to drill 10 holes. Every place else said they wont do automotive stuff and no auto shop would do them eaither.

Do it yourself... dear lord it is easy... they are hubcentric... :q:q:q:q send em to me and I'll drill them for less than that.

Now, when i run into some extra money I'm going to try this:

Items needed:
Bullit calipers
Banjo bolts
Caliper bracket drilled 0.7" in from stock spot
A little grinding here and there...

This setup was on my SHO and it was great - and the bolt pattern and rotor size are the same as on the Mark 8.

Sure the offset is different but it can't be that far off.

This setup allowed me to use my 16s on the car.

OK, so since its so freakin cold I know I wont work on the front suspension stuff untill spring so I am gonna do my brakes now since they are easy to do and I just hate the stockers.

So this is what I have (will order) so far:
Mach1 Calipers $190
FRPP Cobra rotors $140
Russel Cobra braided lines $70
Bleed kit and the fance fluid Frog told me to get $80
Machine shop to drill rotors $60ish

So for $550 I will have a Cobra kit with braided lines and the brake bleeder kit I always wanted. :D

Does anyone know if the CObra brake lines will fit?

Well here is the million dollar question. Where do I get Mark VIII braided lines at? Cant find them on ebay or SCP or LMS. :(

I got mine at Classic Tube from Tom.

DLF might know if the Cobra lines work, as he was one of the first to do it and his write ups have been used for ages for us and the T-Birds...

Yeah, I believe in the step by step that I read of his that he had custom ones made. I just did some more research and by only judging the pictures it appears the Cobra line is 2-3" shorter which makes sense because the Mark has much more suspension travel.

After some more digging I found a T-bird kit but they are $160 shipped and the $60 Cobra ones were a better deal. So I guess I will just grind down my banjo fitting and keep the stock lines.

Must have smooked too much weed in the 60's. I dont get it.

Thanks again guys for the excellent info. I have ordered everything I need today to do the job. Not only did I build the setup for $96 less then the kit with the solid rotors but I also get braided lines front/rear, high performance fluid, drilled slotted rotors and a one man bleeder system.

Now I have to find some small letter stickers that are a little larger then the stock Cobra lettering so I can make them say "LSC" in black on silver surround.
I would prefer a Lincoln badge but dont know where I can get the star in that size.
Here is my sub $440 CObra brake setup with all brand new parts. :wrench
