I have a 1999 town car and the code for the door key pad is on the right trunk hinge, I also have a 1998 mark viii but dont know where they hid the code. Any ideas?

On gen1's its in the trunk. You know the door inside trunk that leads to the air rid switch? Open that and the box with the code on it will be toward the front of car in that door opening. Gen2's same place?

I'll have to look again but I think mine is on one of the trunk hinges.

Mine is located on the passenger side hinge on the trunk lid. also noticed its also found on the keyless box top. after you find it you can add a new code for your personalization.

The 98 should be on the right trunk hinge arm also, but if it's missing the other place you can find it is on the driver's door module behind driver's side door panel.
2nd gens don't have a keyless entry module in the trunk by the air ride switch right? When I was looking for one for my car I came across two 98s and neither had anything there in place of that module with the code on it, and there were no unplugged harnesses that would have led to it.

Correct. The driver's side door module takes the place of the keyless entry module on 2nd gens.
