Hello all, new to the board, and wanted to post some pictures of my new car. I picked up the car last Thursday, and could not be happier.

J.O. Williams Ford in Gladewater, Texas is the place I purchased this fine ride, and my salesman was Mike Powell. I highly recommend this place if you want to be treated with respect. J.O. Williams had the best price in the Ark-latex, and was smooth transaction. Everything done in under 24 hours.

They have a baby blue 2005 on the show room floor right now if interested.

Congrats dood!

That's a nice looking ride. You will like the improved ride (the 17"s ride better...same sidewall rating as the 16"s though) and the increased hp.

My only beef is the mushy seats, but that's in the '06 Sig.

Thanks for the awesome comments!!!

On a sad note, was coming home Saturday morning from the Horseshoe Casino in Shreveport (another sad story), and saw signs on the interstate "FRESH OIL AHEAD." Me being delirious did not put two and two together and realize road crews here work on SATURDAYS!!! What I thought was weird was the lane closed signs, each side of the road said the other side was closed?!?!?!? This was about 15 miles into Texas, and I know we are a literate state, or at least hope so. Anyway to make a long story short, I was doing about 60 mph in the driving lane, as the passing lane was closed off. Another sign said fresh oil, and that’s where I began to see workers and fresh oil in the passing lane, however blocked off to the public. Ahead about 2 miles was this ----ing machine that looked like it was painting one side of the interstate. Passing this thing was a trip. I was almost in the grass going around this thing; however I still managed to get little bits of FRESH ----ING OIL all over the front side of the car. I pulled over when I could and washed the car, but luck. :(

When I got home I used some stuff my father had, and got most of it off. Reading the back of the bottle, it took off the wax along with the road grime. sooo. I purchased some detail accessories from Gary at www.perfectautofinish.com. I would highly recommend this guy as he knows his stuff! This will be my first time claying a car, so I am very anxious to see the end results. I will post pictures of the before and after.

virgin car...any plans???

I will be tinting the windows SOON, as we live in TEXAS. Possible sound system upgrade as well.

I was also considering putting navigation in it. Does anyone know where I can get an OEM navigation unit?

Well I finally detailed the car. After 7 hours of detailing, I can not see how anyone does this for a living. The effects are rewarding, however NO! This is the order I went.

1. Hand washed car with mild detergent, and dried.
2. Clayed entire car. This was a b!tch...
3. Hand washed car again removing excess clay left on car.
4. Buffed car using paint conditioner.
5. Buffed car again using paint sealant.
6. Cleaned and conditioned the leather seats.
7. Interior detail.
8. Crown and coke break!!!
9. TBD next week - Buff on Poly seal spray.

Note: Claying car is very time consuming, and you can not just stop with claying. It will leave the paint open for greater damage without any protective coating.

I love them new TC's. Love the body style and the inside. Glad they came back with the hood ornament, the pride of the Lincoln. Beautiful car.
