It is a very nice clean car. 20,000 miles. This vehicle was made the last 24 hours of production. Does anyone know how to get information on the exact build number or how many vehicles were made in the last 24 hours of production. I'll get some photos soon. Thanks.

Wow that's low miles. How do you know it was made in the last 24 hours of production?

Welcome aboard.

On the drivers side door pillar you can find: month and year build date, and the last eight numbers of your VIN gives you the production sequence number. Finding exact time of production and the last vehicle produced maybe a little harder.

I too would be interested in how you know your vehicle was produced in the final twelve hours of production other than a car salesman telling you so.

At the top of the page is SEARCH and TECH ARTICLES, they are your friend. If your Lincoln LS did not come with the owners manual you can down load, it too has a lot of information you might need.

It was built on 4/12 which I can veify through OASIS. I believe they were only running one shift at Wixom and the last car came off the line around noon on 4/13. I would love to find a way to get the production reports which have to exist somewhere. I'll let you know what I can find out.

Interesting! :)
Mine's also an April '06 car according to the door sticker, how can I find out my build date?

Corporate would have that info.

What color is your LS?

I ask because I read, back in 2006, that the last few LS's off the line were all black.

Mine rolled off on March 19th, 2006

It's Ceramic White Tri Coat. I'll post some picks as soon as I can clean all the salt off it.

I think the typical stuff. Wheels and tires for the summer. 18's. Paint the lower grille opening body color. I like the look of a spoiler? Maybe aftermarket Nav. Intake. Exhaust. I've only driven 150 miles but I have to say this may be the best Ford/Mercury/Lincoln ever produced. It's tight.

I'm going to wash her up on the way home from work. It's cold but sunny so I'll post a couple pics tonight.

Looks awesome. Don't paint the lower grille the body color. Mine was the body color, and I painted it black. Looks much better.

Thanks. The more I look at the car the more I may just keep it stock on the outside. We start early up north. If you start at 8 there is not much daylight left when you get home. Then again, it's freezing cold outside.

MAN! When I bought mine it was advertised as white. I was really jazzed at having a white LS. When we got to the dealership it was Silver Birch, ARGH! I've had a silver car since 1991 (1991 Sable & 2000 LS) and wanted something different. The price was too good to pass up so we bought it anyway.

Paint the lower grille opening body color.

Leave the lower grille. It's MUCH better black! However, do paint the keypad body color! PS: I have since removed that stupid pinstripe!

That paint is the best white FMC ever came out with IMO. Problem is there's only about 1% of painters out there that can paint it correctly.
