Just got back from the track

I actually wired the pump bacxkwards the first time and ended up having to drop[ the tank a second time to switch the wires, that was me being an idiot though

Are you sure your an idiot?
the second gens wiring is backwards, many have made that same mistake when going to the focus pump.

Rather than dropping the tank, he just cut and swapped the wires outside the tank in the wiring harness.. worked like a charm

All I did with the stock housing was switch the two gaskets from the new pump housing to the stock pump housing and the pump fit nice and snug, and if you look on the website it does say that it requires some modification the directions he gives you suck though

I agree the directions were a joke. Cannt remember about the gaskets but the plug didn't fit. I cut the wires and changed the plug. Other than that the rubber hose not being tight was the only other possible issue. The pump fit good in the original basket didnt use the new one with the pump? I think the float was an issue. (different) Hopfully sunday I will get the WBO2 installed and check. Not sure if I really want to know.

Tested out the spray with the stock fuel tables... the nitrous hit hard you can hear the exhaust note get way deeper but it did the same thing, breaking up. I sprayed for 2 seconds at the most and had to let off. So it's not the Sniper tune. I just want it to run right I can already tell the car is going to be a monster on the spray once I get all the kinks worked out...

Nitrous is addicting lol... I know I said I was done with it after yesterday but had to try it out today and it ran like a raped ape! No hiccups at all. Sprayed it in 3rd gear at 3000rpm and it was running HARD. I don't know why it works now and not other times... it's a mystery.

Sounds good. Ready for the track now. What shoot are you spraying.
It is wierd that its good now?

Are you still spraying an inch away from the throttle body? Immediately after a nitrous run, check your plugs and see if you're getting a uniform color in all 8...

Yea, I didn't change anything from yesterday except fill it up with 91 chevron gas and today it runs good?? I'm spraying a legit 100 shot at the wheels at 950psi... it feels like a lot more than 100lbs of torque at the wheels though lol... it's not ready for the track yet, not gonna run spray all the way down the 1/4 until I get a fuel pressure gauge hooked up.

Yep, the nozzle is right by the throttle body. I talked to HSW and they said it was fine where it is...

If you want to actually get any info from the plugs you need to shut the motor down at WOT...

Right, that's what I meant by immediately, should've been more specific.

98, there's something wrong in your setup, otherwise it would work perfectly all the time. I'm just telling you what I'd be looking at if it were my problem. If it's breaking up, I'd be first looking at the car's ignition system (not that much to worry about on a COP system) and fuel distribution on a wet kit...

All the plugs look about the same but I didn't check right after a WOT run.

I wish someone made a direct port kit for the 4V. I saw a gen 2 with a modified Nos direct port kit hooked up that was originally for a 2V...

The only thing that is telling you is that the motor was running in a certain condition right before you pulled them... which was probably while it was idling... so I would hope your motor isn't idling super lean or anything lol...

The condition of the plugs isn't going to change much driving around town. I understand the benefit of checking right after a WOT run but realistically you can still tell a lot from looking at them the next day.

Are you :q:q:q:qing serious?????

Seriously, The ONLY thing that you MIGHT be able to tell a day after you make a WOT run is if the plug is covered in molten aluminum chunks...
