It's funny you said that. This stock LSC that I just bought will break the tires loose on the manual 1-2's all the time and automatic 1-2's about 3/4 of the time. I was wondering if the spring was broken too because I know nobody has been in the valve body.

The valve body was last accessed last September(2010) and everything was fine. So if it did happen, it was some time between now and then. I dunno though because it's very tame under light throttle. If it was broken, I wonder if it would be harsh even under light throttle? I dunno, I have pretty steep gears and an aggressive stall, so maybe that's normal. I guess I'm not really complaining but I would hate to be wrong and see the accumulator bore get chewed up from a broken spring.

In the past, whenever I found a broken spring, the shift was a little harsh even at part throttle, so I don't know...

I haven't enough experience driving this car yet to tell you more about it. And I really don't have any experience with a Mark VIII, steep gears, and aggressive stall! But I'm hoping to get there with my own ;)

IIRC, I've heard that some of the Gen1s will chirp the 1-2 just because they are faster and more bada$$ when stock.:p That's why I had to modify mine. What got me into these cars was a 45 minute ride in a Gen1. Then I bought mine and I thought, "Nice car, but a little more reserved" :p I attempted a burnout in my car like the guy did in the Gen1 and it was a no-go for the most part LOL

Oh yeah, gears and stalls make the world go round and your tires go bald :D

And then guys put blowers on these things. Yikes! LOL
