Standing on my head, I think they can fix it.

Sorry to read about this, good luck.

I was expecting the whole side of car to be wasted. Thats not bad. Sucks but not to bad. Best of luck.

Thats not too bad. They will prolly total it and give you a check for $2500. Cost ya under a grand to fix and pocket the cash and go to a beewbie bar. :)

before that my mark is mint no chrome flaking no paint chips no rust interior mint besides minor scuff on centre console, i wont take less then 3gs because thats what i paid and it has less then 90k miles on it. its a early build date too

You will take what they give.

Seriously though, its book and then minus your deductable and minus 10% if you decide you want to keep the car. Book aint much over 3gs if even that much. So say it is $3000 and you have a $500 deductable and you want to keep it. Thats $2200 that they give you.

that sucks just get it fixed though.
and it not rust free any more driving it in all that salt:(

I'll be okay with that, then id go put a down payment on a 06 f150 and fix the mark on my own terms. It'll pass a salvage inspection because it just passed a safety inspection a month ago.

IDK about your state but here in Texas and when I lived in Hawaii I had been hit and they totaled the cars. In both instances it was only cosmetic dammage so both times they left the title alone. :)

I made out like a bandit! Bought a 89 GT for $2400, got hit, insurance gave me $3600 and I sold the car for $2800. :D Used that cash to buy a 92GT for $4000 and then its hood flipped up dammaging the hood and cowl and cracking the windshield and the insurance gave me $4500, I spent $1200 fixing it and sold the car for $7500!
I made a $10,800 profit all together there and the cars had clean titles. :D

Mine was a lot worse when it happened to me. It was around 2k worth of damage, but unfortunately thats prolly enough to total a 93

Maybe you need to have some minor damage happen to your current car. In a few months of doing the above you could make enough to keep it;)

Don't fix it, take the check, then have it fixed on your own time. IMHO, with good insurance, or if it's on the other driver to pay, this is not a negative, I WISH that would happen to my car. I'd get it fixed and then still have a free bonus, lol. Hell a wreck like that could fund my rims and tires.
