let's see how it turns out. keep us updated with pics. is this your hobby? if this is your first time then i hope you did a lot of research on it. good luck with your venture

First post?

Well welcome to the club, you should explain more of exactly what it is you are doing. With all the great stuff it is kind of hard to imagine.

Good luck!

progress...Hopefully i should be done with the carving tonight. I had to spray more foam cuz i had alot of gaps so now i gotta wait for cure time...i know it looks ruff now but it's starting to take shape. Im making a front lip. I dont really have a solid design, im just taking the knife to it n see what i come up with. I got inspired from FiberglassForums.com

u shoulda done this on a spare bumper.... but pretty cool venture, keep us updated, maybe if it turns out good u can make DIY

im not diggin where your going with this lips design.... but kuddos for trying something new and making it your own. I intend to do something similar once i figure out where to run my exhaust

WOW!!!! Thats being creative. Can't buy it. Make it.:) Looking forward to see more progress.

You definitely get an A for effort on this one. Good luck on getting the result you want!

Interesting. I applaud your ingenuity and effort, regardless of what the finished product may look like. (hope that didnt sound negative, because it wasnt meant that way).

haha! yeah who was i foolin at tryin to be done in 1 night!....thanks for the encouragement...im gonna keep goin until i get it right. Im not too worried bout the top edges right now, i'll shape it better once i get everthing else even. Now i know to use backing......a more level base......shoot the foam better......measure more........

horrible pic i know

Are you planning on doing anything to the sides or rear? Good luck, I hope that it turns out well, and that the pearl(assumption) isn't too hard to match.

L.Ls, your car was a inspiration for me to finally do something instead of waiting around for the aftermarket....even though i suck ass hopefully this s**t is contagious n other people with more skill than me make something bad ass then i can buy their stuff. I like the LS with the lower grill area open, thats what i plan to do after this front lip fiasco. I plan to fiberglass the whole front bumper with the lower cutout n somekind of crazy aero ish but i think i want 2 do fenders n hood first.

You got ball's i wouldnt try some thing experimental on my main bumper. But good luck, were all interested in seeing how this turns out

Wow< I checked out that forum and this guy could be on to something.

After the foam they glazed it with fiberglass and some resin or something.

I am wondering how it would work if you were to use one of those Mach 1 chin spoilers to build on! Also I wonder if you could use some of the plastic honey comb behind the spot where the bumper lens/side marker goes, load it up with foam in the front and back, shave it down, fiberglass/resin it up and sand it, prep it for paint, and have it shot with some color rather than just paint over the things.

I think I am going to use this site to make a roof spoiler also.

Cut out a sheet of foam to fit the top of the rear windshield, layer it up with some weaved cloth, fiberglass it and shave it down.

That NSX is sick! Whats weird is that its a US spec in Japan????

I remember seeing that car but not its build up before.

I'm still stunned by the quality of the work. Granted I am sure it would be a little different seeing it in person. But damn it looks clean. Poosibly a US buyer paid to have it done? Or, maybe it is a little suspect on where the original NSX came from.
