Glad to see another awesome Mark VIII join the family!
May she treat you well and be your baby for many years. :D

i bought it with the speedstars because i was planning on buying speedstars in the near future but it would be cheaper if i jus bought it with the tires he had on there which were runflat tires

It is a nice car. Interior is is near perfect. There are no dents anywhere. You are way off on your paint prices. For a two stage black paint job I was quoted $1200. Nowhere near $3000. I can get it done locally with single stage for $900. Well worth it to have an unmoleasted 1 owner car with great miles.

That's why I said if you do it the RIGHT way by removing all the trim, door handles, 1/4 glass etc. as well as properly prepping it and painting the factory base/clear paint not single stage..it will add up real quick. Just having my bumpers trim and hood redone with matching the base/clear paint the total came out to a grand and that was with NO removal of bumpers needed since I installed them myself..quality will cost you.

I understand where you are coming from but there are very few people that would go through all that for a car that's going to be a DD. A Maaco paint job would suffice. Also, your car is metallic. Much easier to do black. I'm not sure if i'm going to sell it. I may sell my Sons 93 and upgrade him. He likes the car so much he doesn't even care about the paint.

Nice score Merk1n. I remember watching his youtube video awhile back and thinking boy that car looks nice and now ya got it! :D

+1...my local Maaco did a fine job painting my car metallic, $2k which included some body work...no complaints; other places quoted 3500-5k;
i will likely get them to paint my new project when the time is right

everybody was bashing maaco on another thread on here. So maaco is a reputable paint shop its just some of them are filled with inexperienced people

each Maaco is a franchise; independently owned/operated...some are better than others. Regardless they are a discount auto paint provider and are not the same as a lot of auto painters. I painted both my car and truck there about 6 years ago, they both still look great, including my Mark VIII.
That dark-colored new Mark VIII you have really needs some shade down there in south Fla, get as much as you can

You guys think this a legit car price wise lemme know your thoughts or concerns i wanna go take a look at it if its worth it.:rolleyes:

These ppl come to your house & offer you dirt for your Mark. They came to my father's house when he was selling his CE. They offered him $1,600 for it. Business is business but they are @ssholes. It's 2 tall blond dudes. They look for low mileage Mark VIII's, Towncars, ElDorado's, etc... That's their bread & butter. Problem is they make 200% profit & barely put effort into perfecting the cars, they just look for ppl that are willing to let them go for dirt cheap then sell them 3x's as much.

What about this you guys probably seen this before any thoughts on this

This is the car I PM'd you about last month. I've always thought you were the owner of this car. It's SUPER clean & well maintained. The interior doesn't look a mile over 50k. Very nice base.

@mygreat8 i jus bought the Midnight Grey mark

CONGRATULATIONS! Got yourself a gem there buddy.

Get yourself an extra set of trim & paint to match the car so it looks like an LSC. Don't ruin that chrome though, put it away because it looks nice! That's exactly what I did to my prairie tan. All the OEM chrome trim is in my shed.
