Is the First Gen Boost Friendly???

Believe it or not they do better than the backs I had on it before. They are the bottom 2 tires in this pile. I popped the bead off on one so I had to do a swap front to back and then put the stock rim and tires that had the most tread on the front.

nice sub! and wtf did you do to smoke the 4th-6th syncros? i see 2 & 3 all the time, you shifting that hard in the high gears?

I'll try to explain it as best I can. Car is a stock JDM STi swap with a Front Mount Intercooler and a 3" Turbo Back Exhaust with a cat no less. I took it to Englishtown and pulled a 16 sec quarter at like 87mph :(

Kept going back taking advise from other WRX owners on how to go faster. Eventually I was launching at around 6000rpm and flat foot shifting (as in never let off the gas just stab the clutch) all the way to 5th gear. So I got it to do a best of 12.51@109.9 pump gas with the AC on every time. I missed 5th about 4 times cause it's a hard shift that fast and I ground the hell out of 5th to the point you couldn't shift into it anything over 3000rpm.

So I got a sponsor and he gave me a header that I was supposed to dyno my engine with stock manifold and then header. Unfortunately I hurt my turbo so I got a way bigger one so no A/B comparison. Also since I was still stock clutch it slipped right away so I was back to 14 sec quarters. Made the mistake of getting an Exedy Carbon Clutch for $5000 and it slipped pulling a 12.8@118

Then got a Tilton Ceramic Twin disc clutch and broke that one too! Tilton warrantied it but the car sat at the shop for 2 years (the Mark stepped in as a driver). So I went down and he showed me how bad I screwed up that trans, I destroyed 4th syncro and 5th. So 3rd and 4th are a paired gearset and so are 5th and 6th so I got them all new since they are paired and also upgraded the syncro's.

Bad news is that like the last week it was there when they parked it outside it got broken into:eek: Destroyed my Alpine took my Boost Controller my piggy back ECU controller and all my gauges. All this along with anything that also wasn't bolted down in the car. Oh and 4th gear is popping out of gear if you let off the throttle and get back into it

Ever think a Mark is a money pit...try playing with a stinkin JDM STi ;)

1995 D16, VTEC.... and yes it is actually VTEC I'm not stupid and think that every Honda has it...

Well about the only thing I have that would fit that would be my 17" Konig Impacts. Otherwise all the stuff I have was for my 88' CRX. Did have a S2000 for a while but never put anything aftermarket on that one as it didn't seem to need it :)

I wish they where a 5 bolt pattern then I could get them to fit my Mark :D

Yes...

You can use a gen1 intake but it isn't ideal... you can put on a cobra intake manifold, or a second gen intake... or Kenne Belle makes a blower that bolts onto the B heads I think....

I think a friend of Mike (94m5) is in the process of doing this right now... but I haven't seen one done otherwise...
