Is My Mechanic Crazy???

So I brought my car into my mechanic yesterday with some summer wheels I picked up, and they did not fit!!!

The wheels were definately a 5 x 4.25, but my stock LS wheels were a 5 x 4 or 5 x 4 1/16 (I can't recall).

Has anyone seen this before? Every website I looked @ said a 2004 LS should have a 5 x 4.25 bolt pattern......I am totally confused right now.

I know..... I know......

He showed me the measurements & measured my stock LS wheels and they were 5 x 4!

My car is going in for a warranty repair next week, hopefully they have some answers

The wheels you have on your car in your gallery are the same ones I have on the car now. I've run two different sets of aftermarket 5x108 wheels and they fit fine. I think your mechanic is crazy and/or the wheels you bought are the wrong bolt pattern.

i would say that the wheels that you ordered are wrong because i have only seen 5x108 and i have put three different sets on my car good luck man

There is no way your stock rims are 5 on 4. You just happen to make a little mistake and it happens. If the bolt pattern on the new rims is bigger then your lincoln most likey the rims are the most common ford size of 5 on 4.5.
