unity, you work it like I do. I am my own sniper bidder. Makes it more fun when you have your highest price you want to pay already set in one window. Split the screen and watch the time in the other window. Keep pressing the refresh button and watch the time and price. If you have the confirm bid set and ready in your other window, you will rarely lose. I never place a bid on anything unless there are 5 or less seconds left. You will beat all the other sniper programs out there, depending on the other persons high bid. If I slap in a bid $1.00 less than you with only 2 seconds to go, I have no time to fix it.
As for ebay being slow during the last minute 1/2, I think ebay could have had a slight hosting problem and it just so happened to be during the time you were bidding on something. They never want it to be slow for anyone because they will lose money. I also use Firefox and have been buying & selling on ebay on a regular basis now for 4 or 5 years and only had one bad experience but money was given back.
One of you mentioned an auction being gone before it's time. Sometimes they are listed locally as well and you need to read the print to see if that's the case and also, if no bid has been placed, the seller can remove it when they get ready to.
