I was on the way to Foxwoods Casino last weekend (hour drive) On the way there my battery light comes on. I made it there. But the next morning my car dies and I have to have it towed. I replaced the altenator and the battery light went off. Now my question is, at one point when my car was dead my dad tried jumping it, he accidently switched the cables for a minute. after replacing the alternator, everything worked fine except my radio lights up but doesnt work also my message center doesnt work at all. I checked all the fuses in the fuse box under the hood. Is there a SECOND fuse box I should be checking?, where the is it? Sounds dumb but im pissed. Help me out! Thanks

how do i get to it? Im assuming its the radio fuse. Would that be there?

Shouldn't be any bolts holding it. Just a finger or thumb and pry(lift). The panel is next to the door hinge.
Right under the Steering wheel where the small light is? Also my fuel gauge is completely straight up. This is starting to make me nuts.

Panel at end of dash,finger pull like the boys said. Look in your manual for the fuse positions. Little plastic factory fuse puller will be attached to the clip on the back of the fuse panel cover.
Found it. Now the search begins for the blown fuse. Of course im missing my fuse puller. Idk how I missed this before, I think because I was doing it at night in my driveway. Thanks guys, ill let you know how I make out.

Reversed cables causes the power to flow the wrong way though the rectifiers. That's what finished off your alternator. Also, many devices are protected against reverse current by a rectifier connected across the power supply that conducts when the polarity is reversed hopefully blowing the fuse before the parts are damaged.
