interesting kit

I have not seen one, so I can't be sure. All it takes is a couple of bolts difference and you are into welding, making brakets, ...etc. Not impossible but makes it tough on a DIYer.
 
quick question about the pic of the supercharged jag, what is that intake tube at the front of the car? it looks like it lets unfiltered air past the MAF and into the engine?

it's a snokel that feeds (rams) air to the underside of the intake box (you can;t see it but it goes underneath. the funny looking protrusion is simply a brace and does not allow air into the intake track - it may even at as a hermotz resonator - to cancel standing waves in the intake track for sound reduction.

or if you really wanna do all this just buy a goddamn MARK 8!! It already has a bigger engine, easiers to maintain + fix + power up and you can get them for cheap right now. As I find it there will always be cars faster than mine, especially with an odd 3.9L engine which is hard to work with...I'd rather not screw up the internal and just make my LS unique by doing wheels, interior, exterior, basically anything and everything that won't hurt the car to the point it might break down and blow the engine.....and the closest people to know how to tinker with a SC or Turbo for the LS is about a 30mile drive for me..and if the car has probems....that's a big towing bill!

I'm really not that smart about it, I just remember that being brought up in the CAI thread a while back.

And, that's exactly what it looks like to me. A ram air setup. It also looks like that brace was made to be a helmholtz resonator.

I prefert 4 door car than a coupe sport car this is why i don't have a mustang or a Mark VIII
 
I noticed in the ad that they mention the Eaton 112, IIRC isn't that what the '03-'04 Cobras had?
