can a gen 2 intake be put on a gen 1 motor? I know that the throttle bodies would have to change... along with the fact that unit was set for DBW... but I would like to know if it could be done...
intake swap??

I dont think so. From the pictures Ive seen, the gen 2 LS's intake comes out towards the radiator, while the gen1's comes out towards the passenger side.

if this relates to your other thread about using the motor in a hot rod - then the intake tubing fit doesn't matter....
Yes - the port spacing is the same between Gen1 and Gen2. Gen1 uses the air-assisted injectors, and has the complecated IAC to feed the air-rail. Since the Gen2 does not use the IAC or air-assist - it may be an easy way to swap in standard injectors into a Gen1 engine - with some vacuum line re-routing, etc.
