intake noise?

I ordered the kkm intake without the tube for my 02 v-6, does anybody know how much noise is going to make, is it too loud? Since today I got on my cousins honda which has an intake and made alot of noise for a 4cyl.

nah its not loud. even the v8 is pretty quiet. i think the snorkle is where you can get some volume

Its not too loud, people cannot hear you coming from down the street or anything like that (unless you are at wot or close to it). I installed one on my 00' V8 and I love the sound it gives me, but ever since I installed it I have been getting horrible gas mileage: ~12.5 (city) ~15.5(hwy).

Has anyone else had this problem? I thought it was supposed to improve mpg, if there is not something that I can do to improve this by at least 4 mpg, I will have to put back on the stock intake :-( Someone please help me, because I REALLY love that sound.

the only thing ive heard about the gas mileage was from wuik he said it should improve the mileage but people usually drive faster when they get it to hear that noise and that causes poor gas mileage. i dont have one but am planning on getting one. you want to sell yours?

It took me a while to figure it out too.

And it is true, once I got my intake my gas mileage went to $hit.
That was untill I felt it in my wallet and took my foot off the gas.

right - drive the same and your gas mileage should increase.... but no one ever does.

Sell my intake??!?!? I'd rather pay $40 a tank. lol :L I'll just deal with it.
