what paths did you take, I just got a starmate and am wondering how anyone put the antenna though what and power cords so on Installtion in a gen 1 tips please

i took out the back seat, lifted up the carpet under the rear window, put velcro on the back of the antanae and ran the cable under the carpet into the arm rest. If your car has the factory phone you can unplug it and not have to drill any holes. I then ran the power cord into the arm rest through the same hole. I take the head unit with me and leave everything else in the car.

I ran it under through the backseat.

In the dash, behind the side panels, then through the backseat into the trunk.

I lifted my bottom of my back seat and did not find a hole to the trunk, How do you get the back of the back seat off, and can you mount the antenna inside the trunk and still get reception?

If I remember right, you can push it right through, under the cushion. There's nothing in the way.

And I just ran the wire along the hing and put the magnetic antenna on the top of the trunk.

i left my antanae inside by the 3rd brake light. it works fine

Why not remove the cellphone antenne and then use the satlite antenne to cover the hole. It's not like it can be used anyways.

Weird? My cell phone antenna was glued on but had no hole going through - I was able to just scrape it off.

I thought that all were done like mine, well that's what I'm going to do to mine when the time comes. Open channel radio sucks and I love satilite radio, and it's cheap.

you shouldn't have a hole in your window. It should just be double sided tape on each side.
