so i was wondering would it be worth to get a thx system in my car ?

if so what would i need? i really like the stock look of the car and really dont plan to do anything too out there including sound system, my car right now just has the cd/cassette

Nope, not worth it.

But if you really want to try, I have the headunit and amps for you. (not ripping the speakers out)

Yeah, almost unanimously agreed it's not worth it. While the THX sound system is really stellar for OEM equipment the head unit is a bit lacking in features compared to modern double dins which isnt really surprising considering they were made ~9 years ago.

Here we go again...

Things you need at a minimum to add factory navigation are:
Nav head unit
Nav DVD drive unit (goes in trunk - rear deck)
Map DVD ($200 for up to date one)
Sub-woofer amp (goes in trunk - rear deck) and two subwoofers (rear deck)
Four channel amp (goes in trunk - left side)
Multiple wiring harnesses
GPS antenna

If you want voice control (factory systems have this) add:
Auto dimming mirror with factory microphone (used only on nav equipped cars)

If you want the steering wheel buttons to be labeled and work correctly add:
nav option steering wheel button assembly

If you want the full THX sound add:
THX door speakers (4)

^^ +1

dont bother, you will spend much more money and get far less for it trying to retrofit OEM equipment instead of just going aftermarket.

not to mention how big of a pain in the @ss it would be to replace all of the factory harnesses with the correct ones.

thanks guys :D yeah ill just go with aftermarket :D....eventually
