Hoping you guys can help me out.
A couple of days ago, I noticed my 2000 LS V8 started to shake during idle and hesitated during accelaration. I figured it probably a coil and was waiting for the CEL, which ended of being P0303 and P0301, misfires in Cyl 1 and 3. Then, as I was on my way to get the codes checked, the CEL started flashing and it seemed like I was not able to accelerate.
Since I bought the car used and am not sure of the condition of the plugs, I decided to take it to a local shop and have them take a closer look at everything and let me know if it was the plugs, coils, valve covers, or any of that good stuff.
But surprisingly, they say the head gasket is leaking coolant and causing the car to misfire.
My question is have any of you guys had the head gaskets replaced? What kind of costs\service time am I looking at? Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks for the quick reply Quik. I tried searching for for "head gasket", but eveything was mostly for VCGs. I wanted to ask here before I did anything because head gasket replacement doesnt seem like an issue that is covered often, but the hesitation and rough idle is very common.
Thanks a bunch, I feel a lot better now.
