What do I need to do if I run 42lb injectors? I have a MAF calibrated for them but it throws the CE light on. Do I need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator or will a tune solve the issue? The code is P1152.
I do have a 2.5 inch system with flowmaster 40s on it. Bassani high flow cats and headers are next, I just havent put them on yet! Is it ok to run like it is? Feels like its going through gas real quick.
I'm not an expert but I read on some forums that if you're over killing on your injectors you might have a problems tune the car because injectors will be running on very low cycle. Tuners should know more about that.
They were free along with the MAF from a friends Lightning. Overkill or not the question is will they run right with a tune? FI is in my future but not before big brake upgrade, so the injectors are staying unless they cant be tuned.
I can see some logic to it, i guess. You know, you get up to speed faster, so you may need to scrub off some speed faster. More hp = possibly more aggressive driving style? Plus, the new found hp may allow you to reach crazy speeds that the standard set up wasn't designed to cope with. As part of an overall performance package, it kinda makes sense...
I never understood the "brake upgrade" due to more HP. Does the car really weight that much more? No. Does it make that much harder to brake? No, not if you know how to drive. Just my 2 cents.
more power=more speed. get to higher speeds faster require more brake to bring it back down safely.
Thanks unity. One more question, I am looking into getting the XCAL II tuner. Do you know anyone that sells a tune for the mark, I know you said Geno sells a chip, but I really want a tuner for future mods.
