In need of info

Sorry to hear.

What happened to it? Fall apart from rust?
Nope....sold it in 84
The car was a POS. :) dam brits.
It would eat points for no good reason and you never knew when.
I used to keep a distribtor in the glove box with new points, you could swap them without changing timing.
Converted it to eletronic.
The dam SU carbs sucked always getting out of sync.
First gear Syncros eating $hit, overheating warping the head.
Eating head gaskets...clutches...I dont miss it.

That is my 1960 MGA in the background, 2.3L ford motor with a 5 speed. 65 Goat is in the garage.
I was kicking that around when I had the MG.
The aftermarket for 2.3 is insane.
I would love to see that car....sounds like a blast!
And a Goat....sounds cool.
Goat pics?????

Everyone can use a good detail :D

That is very true. All the shops here suck. I stopped at a few places thinking it would be worth spending $125-$150 and save myself that 6-7 hours worth of work. Well for $170 (most places were same cost) they will wash it, shampoo it and wax it. Thats not a freaking detail! I even tell the guy (who is Mexican and can barley understand) that I want it clayed, de-swirled, waxed, buffed.... what a freakin detail actually is. I get a blank stare and "Ju won me to use dirt .... eh clay on jur car?" Yeah, no.

Fugg it, weekend after next I will detail it myself when it gets back from the body shop.

The 2.3 makes it quite quick, it weighs in at 2090lbs with me in it. I'll get all the pic's up as soon as I can. I was thinking a Mark viii motor in the MG but it just to wide! a 5.0 will fit quite nice though.
The Mini was a blast, factory it put out about 46hp. after all the work she ran about 113hp. still not practical on highways in the US.

Gotta love those mexicans. There's so much illegal work going on in Texas, that's the one thing I can't stand. The last time I was an 'employee' I quit when my boss told me I had to hire a couple guys he had working with us for 10/hr, that didn't speak english. I just don't have the f'g patience to use my hands and arms as my mouth.
