I have a few issues I would like to address to the forum. I am constantly searching for the solution to these issues as well. The car is a 93 M8, 108k.

1.) When I start it up cold it will idle around 900 or so like normal, then when I put it in drive and give it a small amount of gas, it starts to idle funny and the rpm drops way down. If I give it a bit of gas it is fine.

2.) Sometimes after the car is warmed up, it will idle around 400rpm. If it acts normal around 600-700 and I put the A/C on, it will start to idle around 400-500. Is this normal?

3.) While driving at 20mph plus, the steering is fine. When I am turning into a a spot, I will turn the wheel as hard as I can and it will not go all the way. If I am stopped, sometimes it will barely turn with lots of force. Plenty of fluid. Also, near the front of the car, I hear a randow whine. Not like the PS pump is dry, but something else.

4.) Blow-by. Anyone know of a good product that will reduce blow-by?

Thanks for the help,

-Dylan

I would say you should change out the Idle Air Control (IAC) and the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and all of your idle issues should be resolved.

As for the steering, you may be due for another rack. I have a new rebuilt (OEM) rack still in the box if you need it. For the IAC and TPS, check rockauto.com

I can't tell you anything about the blow-by that you have.
