well the mark is alittle sick. out of the blue it started to have a ruf idle and chugs along while driving with crapy pick up.. it is comparable to when i washed the engine and got water up under the cop cover. that was months ago though. whats up with it?

i have the sct 2 and their arent any codes. not sure what it is but the egr, iac, ect look all stock. New plugs and the cop's and boots are in good shape.I'm getting 9mpg.... Its been like that for the whole summer.. my friends $3k scanner thingy says the 02's are reading at the correct level. Any help?

I would try some basic maintenance, plugs, etc...

If his is saying the o2 sensors, that might be somewhere to start. Bad o2's go hand and hand with poor MPG.

1. Remove the MAF and buy a can of CRC MAF cleaner and make sure the little wire is very clean. Spray it until it is all silver again, no dirt showing at all. Change air filter while your at it.

2. Replace the IAC. Most likely it has build up inside. Easy on your model.

3. Replace the TPS. This can cause trouble with idle, shift changes ect.

If it feels like your transmission has any shudder, you can try changing the fluid and filter. Drain the torque converter completely and replace with Mercon V fluid.

I'm sure with all of these changes, you will see a big difference but someone will chime in more that you could do that might help. Tune up time!

i cleaned the maf and throttle plate thingy 2k ago.

Its got new copper plugs.

considering replacing the iac

trans has been serviced but it did have a shudder on a road trip last month. only on steep inclines. hills pretty miuch. it was pretty bad but rarely does it anymore.

I picked up a new iac and it didn't change anything. I did however find that the vacum hose on top of the intake was slpit. fixed that but no change. Whats left? This 10mpg and hesitation crap is pissing me off.
