O.K. so I just started using the heat in the Mark, (its like 50 degrees at night, already!) The Idle will drop and run rough and then smooth out. It does this back and forth but only with the heat on. Any Ideas???

That's a little odd, sounds like a problem with power draw. There's a lot of things to check. IAC sounds like a culprit but I'd let it go a little longer before you go changing things out. You're close so maybe one day you can swing it by and I'll take a look at it.

Seems like it happens when the a/c compressor kicks on and off, from what I can see, How can you tell if its the IAC?

the compressor will cycle itself all the time to make sure it doesn't freeze up (even when you don't use AC).

I would have the codes checked to see if anything comes up

I might just take you up on your offer if it doesnt clear up, I'M in Addison, Thanks

I had the same problem with my 98 before I sold it. I was able to clean the thing, and get it to run right again.

Tried cleaning it, made it a little better, saw the label on it where it said 7/27/96, figured I better change it! Bought a new one for 60 bucks!

I have a 95 that I need to replace the IAC in. What all did you have to take off the engine to get at the IAC? I've remove the TB but still can only get at one (the most rearward) of the two bolts. The other is a stud into the intake manifold and has an electrical conection tie down on it.

Any help would be appreciated.
