Hey guys I'm new to the site so I am hoping I am in the right form for this question, if not I apologize and would apprecitate the someone leading me in the right direction... thanks
1. My '95 Viii at idle osicilates both in gear and at netural approximately 400rpms. I was wondering what the idle air control valve does and if this would solve my problem
2. I have been looking for service manuals will the '94 service manual be the same as the '95

Please do both! You will need the TPS and getting to it will require an 8mm socket with an extension. I use a 1/4 ratchet but either one will work. Getting to the IAC is easiest with the throttle body off and it requires a gasket with your new IAC and I can't remember the size of the bolts but both are not the same. I made both of mine the same. I think the top one was a little shorter by a little bit but it was a bolt with a threaded stud sticking out. I replaced with the same size bolt that was in the top. It's hell but it can be done. I have done three now and got it down to 45 min. My first one took me about 2 hours. Before you put the throttle body back down, make sure you have a new gasket for it too. Under $2.00 and don't forget to plug the TPS in. You can use a little Elmers glue to hold the gasket in place on the corners so that you can get the TB down and the bolts started. Cruise control lines will need to be removed too. Not too bad.
