I need Someones Help

I have a 2001 LS8 Sport can someone tell me what pulley is on the passenger side on the very top of the motor next to the valve covers it looks lik emaybe the power steering pump i appreciate the help

as my pulley looks like its ready to snap off but until i find out what i need to buy i cant fix it thanks

I thinkn you are talking about the fan pulley.

Okay, I've not slept in two days, so it could just be me but what explains why the pulley isn't on the 03+

03+ has electric fan...no pump

post #4 I reference the other thread that tells you how to remove it. it is one of the tougher things I have done - because if you have not read this thread you have no idea how to remove it- you cannot get a wrench on the one nut behind the hose.

it is a good day of work - and I can pull my supercharger, manifold, intercooler piping, ...etc and put it all back on faster.....
