I need an HVAC I think and maybe the controller behind the blower.

One day my blower started blowing full blast and wouldn't turn off until I drove a mile or two and soon after my heater core busted and antifreeze got all over my heater core and controller. I replaced the cable and now my blower blows but it always blows. Whether it's off or on it's on.

Note:
:The HVAC isn't on and the Air Compressor doesn't run when "the blower is always on.:"
: Nothing comes out of any of the vents. Whatever you do there is nothing you can do to make air come out of the vents.

I did run a check on the HVAC and got a couple error codes and while I bought something off ebay to get the error codes it turns out whatever I bought doesn't have the error codes.

So anyway, anyone have a HVAC or controller they need to get rid of?

Should title this thing ATTN: Kustomizekid. Dude has everything including a kitchen sink in his garage. lol

I got a new HVAC and had a bad rain yesterday and now the defrost is blowing agian when it's off. I'm going to do some searches on vacume tubes but I've checked all I can find and they look ok. There is something going on though.

Have you checked the canister that is mounted up inside the passenger side fender? Not sure if you can get to it just by removing the inner lining or not. I know it was plainly visible with the fender off on the parts car we have but I sold the canister to someone here.

This sounds promising as this started happening right after I went through a puddle on that side.

What does this cannister do?

Do you see the canister here? It's up in the corner just below the mirror but up above the tire and mounted at about a 45 degree angle and has one vacuum line going to it. It's mounted on with one bracket. I kinda doubt it's your problem but anything is possible. This was the closest shot I had of it to show you about where it was. I hate this picture and glad that thing is out in the back corner of the yard until it's picked up.

ok first off what year myco? second with the hvac off the system defaults to defrost (much like the vac leak as described above just usually the line breaks off at the manifold not the can) third a vac leak wont turn on the fan.

my 98 shorted the "blower motor speed controller" its is a solid state blower resistor (more or less) that shorted out internally and ran the fan non stop with the key on, new controller and all good. opened up the old one and should of taken pics but didnt :( but you could see where there was a opening in the case that allowed water to drip into the controller and corroded the circuit board, so i made a tittle deflector shield. the water has to be condensation on the outside of the heater box, i have no leaks or other way for water to get there. sorry about the book just wanted to clear things up before you pull your fender for no reason.

This is what I was originally suspicious of when I got the the HVAC unit. I had a heater core leak that flooded the passenger floorboard and I suspected the controller got shorted out or corroded away from the moisture. I'm not real sure where the controller is though. You say "solid state resister" do you mean a power resister? Or are you talking about a solid state relay which is what is normally termed "solid state" and a resister would "burn out internally" it would just "burn out" if it is a relay or even if it's a resister I might be able to fix it. Need to take a look at it to know anything though. Where is the controller located?

Bumping this thread because I'm trying to finally fix this issue. Anyone know where to get 'another' 'blower controller module'. Anyone have one they can sell me?
