Any ideas as to where I can get this besides the dealer? I searched older threads and saw teamfordparts.com but I am not exactly sure of what part to order.

Please help!!!!

scrap or ebay... plenty of parts cars around but you may want to spend some time figuring out whats broken... got to your local parts store to research if needed...its free

I assume you are talking about the thing that you pull to open the door, not the handle that you pull to close the door.

Should be 4Z-54203A29-AB for gen I or 4Z-5421819-A for gen II.

FordPartsGiant, Tascaparts, local dealer, ...

Of course, it would help on questions like this if the year, engine, sport, non-sport details were posted.

It also isn't that expensive to just go to the dealer for this part. On my gen 1 it wasn't expensive, anyway.

And, you'll need to bring the new handle with you to a hardware store, and pick up some stainless steel bolts, washers, nuts, and lock washers to attach the new handle. Unless you have a rivet gun.

Interior Drivers Side Door Handle

These are prone to break, cheap plastic. I ordered mine from dealer. Removing door panel is easy, handle doesn't require rivets on GEN 1. Remove cable to latch from old unit attach to new handle. The cable/latch assembly is a real bear to replace, getting inside the door jam/latch side to remove and replace. I ordered all new parts from dealer, installed, handle didn't work right. Had Ford tech adjust 3 times, still to much cable for handle to work right. Local dealers service departments can't get it adjusted to operate correctly. Finally I installed a tie-wrap to take the slack out of the new cable/latch assy to make it work better. If OEM cable on latch assy was 1/2 shorter it would be perfect!

The bolts you will need are 1/4" x 3/4" long with teflon lock nuts. You will need to drill the rivets out to remove the old handle and use the bolts to replace the rivets. There's 3 or 4 rivets
