Mark 8 ownership and budget can be hit or miss..
My 95 served me well, with very very few high dollar issues.
Absolutely, but we all know what a '96 means. When things fail they cost.

just clicked it and it worked for me...lol
I didn't see you here! How did you get around our IT security setting? LOL...OL
Any thoughts?
Well. The car is still sitting. I'd love to get that one off ebay, but unfortunately, I can't spend any more money until my wife gets paid on the 16th.
I would think any electronics engineer 'worth his salt'.
I dont guess you've paid an electronics engineers labor rate recently.
Thaywood. I know you're on a budget, but you picked the wrong car for that situation. The fact that you have a '96 is even worse, the parts for those cars are the rarest of the rare. I feel for you brother. I hope you can work it out and keep the car, because it is a magnificent machine. Good luck to you. Keep the hope alive.
I offered mine for $125...
I didn't have the money at the time. I have it now. If you still have the VLCM, I would love to get it. I'm not having any luck anywhere else and Ford want's an arm, a leg, and my first born for a new one. Let me know. Thanks.![]()
You can't get a new one, they're obsolete for the 96's!
That's odd. Two dealerships gave me quotes on parts that they had in stock in their warehouse. One said he could have it here for me tomorrow. Unfortunately, the cost was waaaaaay out of my budget. And I'm reasonably sure it was accurate because they both needed the part number from my VLCM to match it up with the ones they had on hand. But like I said, I seriously can't afford the Ford price.
Last time I checked, they were like $400+
They may have some old stock but their no longer in production!
I figured they were probably old stock. $379 was the price I was quoted. Ouch.
