I really do and its only gonna get better! I just bought new tools so tomorrow morning I will put in my new strut rod bushings and Tokico struts. Its gonna be a couple weeks till my front suspension braces come in though. SCP didnt tell me they are custom made so it takes a month or so to get them. :(

Anyway with the new poly sway bar bushings (mount and links) and the new Tokicos out back it really tamed the rear! Having the coil over really makes the car handle better then the air springs and my 245 tires help quite a bit too.
I live 12 miles from anything and have these beautiful twisty farm roads that also have couple mile long straights that you can see well into the distance. There are NO side roads and only 3-4 houses but the are so far back from the road you can see if someone is about to pull out. The spped limit is 70 MPH and I exceed it by a good margine. Well there is this one long sweeping corner that has a yellow 45 MPH speed limit sign before it. I know the absolute limit with my fully modded Cobra ($12K in suspension alone) on that corner is 120 mph and 105 it more comfertable. So I enter this corner at 85 but the Mark was perfectly planted and was not leaning at all, no oversteer or understeer. Just perfect through the corner so I roll on the gas and at the apex I am doing 100mph and at the apex I go WOT. I exited the corner at 110 mph and the car was perfect! No tire noise at all, no sliding, no constant steering correction... it was just point and shoot. I was floored! I didnt think she had it in her! On the way back it caused me to push it a bit in the tighter corners at speeds I would only contemplate in my old Cobra and this thing felt even more secure! I dont know where the limits are but at the speeds I pushed it I dont want to know.
With the new struts, bushings and braces it should be phenominal! And there are still three more suspension mods I have planned. Engine cradle brace, rear IRS subframe brace and the biggest rear sway bar I can get.
With the 18" tires I wana do in the future with 285s out back I think I will be suprising quite a few people when I take it to track days. :D

Now I gotta make her sound meaner!

I was out on some curvy roads the other day with my friend. He disses on my car maybe in jealousy, I dunno but all my friends do it since they know its my love and joy. Anyhow I was going into this corner pretty hard it was a 60 degree bend and i was doing 40, I saw him brace for not sticking to the road and skidding. His jaw dropped when the car stuck like it was on rails. He was like wow this thing handles great.

The change from 225s to 245s made a nice difference but the better shocks made a larger difference. If we didnt have so many critters out there I would put the new struts and bushings in now!
First thing tomorrow though they will be done and then gonna go play some more. :)

What kind of springs are you using, Laser?

I have Tokicos with the TRW variable rate springs all around, Moog front end with all poly bushings, and an Addco rear bar in the rear.

Next week I've got 1.25" bars for the front & rear to go in there, and the following week some new Firehawk Wide Ovals. Should really make this thing go around corners very nicely.

im ready to unload many rounds of ammo thru my car........:shifty:

Just stock T-Bird LX Sport springs. Gonna get some Vogland springs and drop it 3/4" plus have a higher rate. :D

And nice selection you got going. I prolly wont change the front sway bar as the car has allot of oversteer already but the rear is getting the 1 3/4 bar next month.
I have my front suspension braces on the way and next week I am gonna order the engine cradle brace. After looking under there I can see how easy it is for that all to flex around under hard cornering so I wana brace it all up. :)

Yep, I hadn't looked at Vogland. Much as I like lowered cars, here in PA we scrape all over the place with anything but stock ride height :(

I'd love to start doing some bracing on my car, but the prices of some of that stuff are realling blowing me out of the water. When I did the rear end, I was offered some kind of rear end brace back there for $250!

I gotta say, I love the way the car handles as it is... I get a little tire squeal on hard corners but for the most part after the front end suspension replacement, the car is a dream to drive.. just gotta get the Squeaks out of it..:D :D

Holy cow, you actually do clean that thing? ;) :D

Your funny, yes I do clean it... Its been a fun few weeks with some of the stuff I've had to do so it's worth it to have the tools handy...

Wait until I find a good detailer here in town to do the claybar and compound... I hope to get it done soon, I'm even willing to pay good money for a professional job... I would do it but I dont have enough time on my hands right now.
