ok so i did a spring conversion on a 1993 mark viii. i have searched, found out it needs to be the green wire that has a light green tracer. but on my 93 when you compare it to the diagrams on the other posts it looks different
is the 93 diffrent? if not i will take the smack like a man. if so what do i need to cut?

Is there a compelling reason to clip that wire?

I'm going back to air eventually, so I reset the air ride warning each time the car starts. Is that the only issue with the wire? Oh, the switch is off.

ok i swear i might be stupid but these connectors do not look like this diagram

i will never be going back to bags with this car i just yanked the compressor:D

kinda is this supposed to be behind the passenger side kick panel cause if so i do not see it. and i may be totaly wrong but isint thekick panel right behind the pass front wheel. if you were in the passenger seat it is right in front of the door under the dash

The module itself is right beside the blower unit. If you were to open the glove-box right up, you'd see the module right there, on the right hand side. it's black, has a decal on the front and has 2 connectors going into it. (one black, the other gray) You can't miss it.

You can access the wire in both places through the glove box or the kick panel ... I did two of my Marks at the Kick Panel and yes my 93's wire was a different color than the one in my 94. I took the wire located in the place that Eddie told me to find it and I clipped it.

I'm weary of the Arnott instructions. Take a look at the black connector you unplugged:

Can't say for sure until I try it, but it looks to me that disconnecting the black connector will disable the EVO steering, bringing it into default full assist mode.

thanks for everyones help

from what i read if you unplug your black connector you will lose the steering dampner. it makes the steering tighter the faster you go. i like that option. so i will go for the cut. i recived some parts i needed to finish another part of this project. i was bussy on that all day today. so i am going to do this while i am detailing the car tomorrow
