Could anyone explain the different modes? I'm currently on (A) All Bogey Mode, but I don't really understand the L and the other one :D What's the difference and when is it best to use which mode?? Thanks Again

You have read the manual (page 16) right? Basically, you use the logic modes in built up areas, to filter some of the less threatening signals like automatic doors etc. Press and hold the main control knob for 1 second to change modes. A = all bogeys, l = logic, L = advanced logic.

I just leave mine in advanced logic L mode all the time.
Had a V1 for years.
Pics up cops a mile away on the highway and works well in local traffic.
Even in L mode it will pick up some supermarket doors etc.

Same here, i just use the advanced mode. I might use the all bogey next time i take a road trip, out in the sticks, away from polluting sources. Still working good though. I got mine mounted just above the rear view mirror, might see if i can hard wire it off the auto dimming supply wire...

I use the little lowercase L, forget what it's Logic mode it's called though....always worked for me and really cuts down on false alarms.

I wired mine off the mirror which is a switched positive and ran the wire under the headliner to the corner and down under the dash to the V1 phone jack power module.
The negative is just hooked to a screw thats grounded.
Then I ran the phone wire power cord back up to the V1.
Made some custom brackets to attach to the suction cups at different levels so it would be horizontal on the curved glass.

Great Set Up! I'm going to have to seriously look into hard wiring it. Mines suctioned in the middle of my dash under the rear view. I'm a bit concerned about if it's enough of a clear view out the back window. I"ll have to try L mode tomorrow, I've been on All Bogey since I got it

I have no problem picking up cops from behind and it's also practically invisible to thieves. Cops won't see it even if they stick their head in your car.
It even sees around corners and over hills.

I took over 2 hours mounting mine, put the receiver as high on windscreen as possible between the drivers visor and the mirror, when the big visor is up (stowed), it has a clear view back (the rear antenna) and with it down, you can't see the detector at all, even from the drivers seat. The Remote display is next to the drivers door, just below the headlight switch so a uniform looking into the car from either window can't see either unit or a power cord. The power cable is tucked into the headliner and the A pillar.

I have 3 units currently, (and have passed 2 older units down to my boys) as I got THAT tired of having to move them from car to car (one car gets covered/cocooned fairly seriously outdoors and when you forget to remove the V1, grrrrrrrr it's VERY irritating getting back into the car.....) anyway, they are a little pricey but having one in each car is awesome!

I also use the mode in Advanced (upper case L), the A-all bogeys mode is too prone to signals from everywhere in a city (even though you can tell which are worth paying attention to) I suppose the logic mode would work but I've never been let down by Advanced. The Junk detector feature cracks me up too.......

I tried puttin mine up high and it noticeable reduced radar pickup from behind since it lost line of sight and from the front too because of the tint strip.

I love that Junk detector too. Works pretty well but before it goes off it scares the :q:q:q:q out of me because I think its a cop that came up on me really fast.
