Yep that's right, I did it again. I went out and bought another Mark VIII. I wasn't even looking for one. It just so happens that while my son was gassing up his Mark a couple of days ago, a tow truck driver complimented him on his Mark. He mentioned that he had a friend that had a 93 Mark VIII that the air ride system had took a dump, and they parked it. It's been sitting for about three months in the driveway. They were quoted $2000 to replace all the airbags, and $1000 to replace them with springs.:eek: They wanted to sell the car for $500.00 When I went there, it's a bit rough, but had potential. I was really drawn to this car more when I found out that it is technically one owner. The lady's father bought the car brand new in 93, and gave it to his daughter (the lady) a couple of years ago. The car has 144,729 miles on the clock. So it was time to talk money. I didn't really need this car, so I offered $200 for it. She countered with $350. I said SOLD. I gave her $360 and said "keep the change."
Driving home was an adventure. The battery wouldn't jump, because it was deader than Julius Caesar. The power steering had the bare minimum in it, and it squeeked and squawked all the way home. I felt like I was in a low rider, because I bounced all the way home. That was the most uncomfortable ride I've ever had in a Mark. It will bet the first thing I fix.

Nice find!!

You have a bad addiction GMAN.

Remember when you called me and told me that you had to get rid of your Mark and some of the other cars in your drive way ... (Wife's Orders LOL) ....

So ... LOL ... Do you still have Jr. GMAN's car yet?

I started to clean the car today, and there's the whole list of things that need to be done. The usual stuff. I already know the car has no heat, the heater core is toast. The bypass hose gave that away. :p I must have spent 30 minutes getting rid of the leaves of the cowl; neither seat moves forward. Good thing for me they are in the back position. A lot of stuff to be done to get it right. I have a set of springs in the garage. I am wondering if I should put air back on or not.

GMANjr is home on leave driving is Gen2 like a scalded cat.:D

Unless you are planning on bad azzing out the LSC and use the 93 as a DD then I would put springs on it, fix all the minor stuff, clean it up and sell it for $1500 or so. Its just a base 93 so nothing special.

Yeah, but that SOB should run mid 14's with a good tune. I miss my 94 for just that reason. Of course if I had your car I wouldn't worry about it;)
