I Bought another Mark VIII then a few days later I got laid off from work.

Yes a little over 8 mounth ago. Good memory. They planned on expanding but it just didnt happen.

I would look at 4 of those as being like a savings account. Sell, hang onto money as long as possible, while paying bills and remember your luck with being laid off. I wouldn't buy anymore because unless you're lucky....... They aren't going to bring what you paid, especially if brought on here. Hate to hear that happened to you though Dan. You'll find something else soon.

Does look like a good buy
Hopefully you can make some money on it
Good luck on the job hunt again.

Sorry to hear you got laid off. I am a CNC machinist myself and there aren't many guys left in our shop. We have work but it's backed up in a couple of areas (not mine). We do mostly custom machine building. Yesterday there was a bunch of parts for an order of one machine. I can buzz through that simple stuff really fast and with an hour left in the day it was all gone. I started cleaning up my box and tools and machine and with about 15 minutes left some more cut stock came in for the same job. That will last a couple of days. That's the way it is in this environment; sometimes it's day by day. Sometimes we get swamped and then it's overtime for several weeks. No way are they going to hire anyone. I just hope we don't end up on 32's like earlier in the year. I burned up half my vacation time to get paid for 40 hrs.

Good luck!

Sorry to hear that Don.
Its hard down south, hope you find another shop.
Machining is not what it once was, low labor cost's are hard to compete with.

Lights out manufacturing, robots for repetitive work, it is how company's are dealing with the issue.
I have seen too many shops that were over 100 people drop down under 30.
Good luck.
