Hub swap which rotors

Doing hub swap tommorow got the front rotors all figured out going with 99-04 mustang dual piston Pbr calipers in front

Now the question is is the only choice I have for rotors is if use relocation bracket or can I redrill mark viii rotor ? There brand new

I have cobra rear rotors and brackets but really don't wanna use bracket if I can avoid it

Using the mustang rotor on the rear is the best idea.Its a bigger rotor and the stopping power is way better.IMO its worth the trouble.
 
If i read right your wanting to know what to do on the front?

If using the cobra caliper you should also use the cobra brake caliper bracket that will allow you to use the 13" cobra rotors in the front.

On the rear use the 11.65" cobra rotor with your mark viii caliper and a relocation bracket.
 
well he said he was using the 2 piston pbr caliper, thats why i didn't mention it. let me edit to clarify, sir.
 
Only to run 13" rotors. Otherwise run the GT rotor with GT calipers/brackets.

There is no mention in DLF's article of needing the to replace the caliper brackets. If this is right, now I need to source a set of them. Have converted the front yet, due to all the issues with the rear.

It sounds like he is asking about the rear cuz he has the front figured out...I would use the cobra rotors and relocation brackets. The brackets aren't hard to install, just have to grind a bit. I just did this a couple weeks ago if you have any questions.
 
I don't know if the caliper brackets are cross swappable. I'm "assuming" the caliper cradle brackets need to match the caliper/rotor combo.

These two bolts remove the caliper with the bracket as one piece.
 
Hmm, when I make my way to the front, going to have to test fit. Might have to hold off on the front brake upgrade until I can source some brackets.
 
Cobra calipers NEED brackets. The stock VIII stuff won't work.

The PBR's are pinned in to the bracket. Stockers are bolted into machined greased pins.

If you don't have brackets with those calipers, you need to just source a set of new calipers WITH the brackets. The brackets alone are flippin hard to find.

Two 12mm (socket) bolts remove the caliper from the cradle.

Two 15mm (socket) bolts remove the cradle from the spindle.

To swap to GT front brakes, you would need the GT rotor and caliper/cradle combo.

To swap to Cobra front brakes, you would need the Cobra rotor and caliper/cradle combo.

At least this is believe to be correct. I've got a 98 single piston GT combo here I just took off the SVO, which is now sporting a Cobra set now. I wish it was the later two piston setup, I'd put them on the Mark until I could afford another Cobra setup.
 
I have brackets and calipers for front complete I found at a local wrecker like new someone did pads rotors and calipers then smacked there car up got it all for $50

Gonna run larger rotors and use relocation brackets pics etc to follow once complete
 
Sumbitch.

Guess I will be rocking front brakes...unless I get a new set fast enough. Granted I am back on the hunt for a knuckle. Have to try to make time to get one tomorrow out of the yard.
