hp boost?

Whats the quikest way i could boost my hp on my 2000 v6 ls?????? Im wanting some quick an easy mods that i could do my self..

There are many threads on each of these you can search through for more detail:
- intake, filter
- exhaust
- SCT XCal2 programmer
- N2O
- a new thread on a BDT (belt-driven turbo) in the works.

The V6 has a lot of potential - and the engine has been around for a while - so there should be more available for it.... not that many have pushed it yet though.

i would get the V8 but The v-8 doesnt have the slap stick.. im fixing up my v-6 its a 00 the first year they came out and im going to get a v8 07 for the last year they were made..

Depends upon how handy you are....I took a diesel turbo..it was cheap and installed it on an old 3.8 Mustang v-6..along with cheap waste gate and bov....it was a temporary project just so I could learn about turbos. If I blew up the motor no biggie cause it had about 170,000 on it. The used market on turbo components can net you a turbo, wastegate and bov for about $600 to 800. But, you'll have to fab up the tubing and play with vacuum lines etc.....

You can also go the used centrifugal s/c route. Beware of tired parts...a turbine can destruct and do some serious damage to the motor.

Lastly, either system requires "tuning".
