how to remove this please help!

how do i remove the top air vent plastic? my status buttons and all of that fell in on one side. anyone had this happen? its an 01 ls v8 here is a pic

use a butter knife or something flat and put it into the top back area of the vent assembly where it meets the pleather dash. then pull forward, it slides out.

I just pull straight out - you can then reach behind and unplug the single connector.

there is a screw on each side of those buttons that hold them in (from the back).

thanks guys. one screw broke out and i had to fiberglass it back in. i hate plastic.....

Pretty sure no, at least on the 1st gens.

IIRC - no V6.
