Please can I just get an easy answer? I don't want to break anything. I need to remove the clear outer dome then the bulb. How to do this 1-2-3 please? Thanks

generally that part is included when people sell them. idk if its made to come off or not

ohhhhhhh your talking about the three screw setup. i dont know if youve done this or not but when i pulled mine, i pulled the entire headlight housing from the car. then you twist off the hid bucket thingy that the wires go through. then holding the hid bulb in there are 3 screws in a triangle. on mine the screws were double threaded (into the housing and then a little nut on the end of it). iirc after you undo the little stud/screw thingys it just comes out

So the clear dome spins? It has pretty big flats on each end so I don't see how you can spin a rectangle?

its not threaded but yes you do turn it just a little bit(15 or 20ish*) and it comes off. it could be stuck though because theres a rubbery seal thing around the edge of it and i can imagine those could get stuck. hope this helps man

FYI the clear dome does not twist off. It has 4 locking tabs one on each corner that grab into the housing. Put flat blade under dome mounting face and push locks in while twisting screwdriver to pop up the dome. Just if anyone wants to know.

Yes, it twists off. Twist counter-clockwise to undo it. Here's the thing: The dome has a rubbery seal that sticks to the headlight housing over time and you can break those very fragile tabs when you get too aggressive and it finally breaks loose. If it doesn't twist off with gentle force, then I'd recommend using a razor blade to break the seal as much as possible, then gently twist it off. Use some silicone lube on the seals when you put it back on (assuming you're replacing it).

EDIT: I re-read your post two up from this... I've never seen one where you push the tabs in. That must be an older version. I know they went through several iterations of the housings.

These are off a 1997. The dome has 4 locks tabs that fit into squared notches in housing. No opening to twist dome to, to release it. I popped the second one off in seconds knowing where lock tabs where.
