I wash and wax my conti once every weekend and sometimes just give it an inbetween clean in the middle of the week. You?

You must mean a detailing spray every week. If your car requires a full wax each week, you need to switch to a better quality wax. Most waxes will last many weeks, if not several months if the car is garaged. I have never heard of a car wax wearing out in a weeks time.

Are you using a proper car wash, like Zip Wax or equivalent? Dishwashing liquid will strip the wax right off.

i clean both cars every weekend if it dosen't rain and wax maybe once every 3-5 months depending on if i buy new wax and can't wait to try it. both my cars are black so i pretty much need to do something every weekend. if it just gets dusty but still clean, i use the cali duster; great for pollen and light dust.

Sorry guys, But I get my car washed every week and waxed once a month. I found this great little hand car wash not far from home that will get me out in half an hour (wash) and 45 min to 1 hour for wax job.

I used to go to a place to get my conti washed but I didn't think they put much attention to detail and used way to much armorall, plus I like things done my way and I enjoy doing it myself.

i get this 13 year old to wash my car for me on the outside. i supply him with some meguiars car wash and turtle wax ''wax as you dry'' and one of the ''absorber'' towels and of course the water and hose. usually once a week. i handle keepin the car clean on the insdie

I wash my car twice a week and detail it once a week. There is a car washed named duckys down the road. I usually get free washes when the people that work there are there. They still havent showed me the code yet. Dont get me wrong though. Just because I go to a car wash, I still hand wipe down my car and dry it.View attachment 24015

When the temp is above 50, I try to wash it once a week, Below, I usually don't bother. I polish all 3, 3 times a year. Spring, Mid summer and once before winter. If I'm feeling friggy I might do it more often.

Wash every week end weather permitting. Polish with New Finish twice a year, spring and fall.

My LS is Black. Previous car I had was a Black 97.5 Buick Regal GS (before the 'incident'). Anyway, before that was a 94 Sonoma also black. I've had enough experience with spiderwebbing on the previous two black cars, so the place that I bought the LS from also was a dealer for permafinish. http://www.permafinish.com/.

I've had the car now for almost 40,000 miles (I think, I'd have to do the math to be sure), and have only washed it. Spiderwebbing is very minimal, I bought the car used, so I expect it was grandfathered in. Wash it about twice a month (it doesn't get driven every week), sometime it is just a fast 'touchless' wash.

<let the boo'ing and scam posts begin, but I'm satisfied>

made the mistake of going thru the car wash last nite -now the trunk is frozen shut and the power antennea wil not come up-suxs cause I cant open the trunk to disconnect the power to the motor so I pulled the fuse to the radio-

What car was this? The LS doesn't have a power antenna.

I was my car once per week, weather permitting. Below about 35 degrees, it's hard, so I will (reluctantly) use a good quickie car wash near me to get the big stuff off.

During nice weather, I wash maybe once per week. More often if there has been a rain shower to dirty it up. And I usually hit the rims with wheel cleaner, then rinse, then towel dry once every two days..assuming the rest of the car is clean.

My LSE is garaged day and night, so I don't really notice the beading of water fade away for about 5 months or so. So twice a year waxing has worked fine for me. I never use automatic car washes. I hand wash myself, and dry using the California Water Blade (this thing is a stroke of genius..cuts drying time by like..300%..and prevents spider web scratching) and getting into nooks and crannies with the Absorber.

My car is silver and the salt isn't that noticable, so during the winter I rarely bother, but they salted the :q:q:q:q out of the roads around here these past couple weeks so maybe today or tomorrow I'll get her cleaned.

I must say tire black looks just as good as a coat of wax to me, I love that stuff when I wash during the non-frozen months.

Mine gets a complete wipedown every time it's driven, because that's at least 50-100 miles and the car needs it. Kozak, 20% alcohol, quick detailer and Mequiars plastic detailer/polish. Both my LS and my SVT Focus get the same treatment.
