How much have you spent on the your LS

Best Buy and Circuit City:yuck: both want $1K or more and you send out the headrests.

More than a Jap car.

Repairs no mods
coolant reservoir $170
Thermostat $15
Cooling fan motor $700
Headlights $180
2 Window regulators $130
PVC hose $400
Clockspring $160
DCCV $160
Harmonic Balancer warranty work.

Normal day to day maintenance like oil, tires, etc. not listed.

The above list is total B.S. from Lincoln. These items should have never failed. I've had many 10 year old cars without any of these problems. Their prices are way out of line. I do my own work except for the big jobs. I love this car and will drive it into the ground, but next time I go back to the Jap cars.

4 coils, 2 valve cover gaskets, 2 oil changes, and a fuel filter... Bout 300 bucks in repairs/general maintenance since May.

Future planned repairs will be new sway bar bushings after it gets warm, and a new thermostat and coolant flush. I guess I can count snow tires into that as well. So maybe another 450 or so before the one year mark.

Oh, I forgot about the 20 new lug nuts, another 60 bucks or so to the tab.
$360 isn't too bad for the first 6 months, considering that I sunk that much on average into my Cadillac EVERY month for the last 6 months I owned it, and it still needed more when I traded the damned thing in.

Most of my repairs have been done while the '02 LS was under warranty.
If you want to think of them as repairs--
First replacement set of Michelins---about $1300
Set of ceramic brake pads---about $120
Replaced one coil---about $50
Clock spring needs replacing---?$

Almost all mods have been through sponsors---
LSK Intake
MagnaFlow exhaust
NX Pro 300 HP-capable system
Completely separate methanol delivery system
a. five gallon fuel cell
b. two billet filters and electric fuel pump
c. all stainless-braid teflon hose for supply and return
d. bypass pressure regulator
e. SCT Flash system
f. five tanks full of nitrous oxide per weekend

The custom-bent roll cage cost $3500.00
The mandatory fire-suppression system cost $350.00
Simpson seat belt cost $250.00
Simpson suit, helmet and accoutrements about $2500.00
Material for belly-pan cost about $100.00
Z-rated Michelin P-2 tires on 8 1/2 inch by 18 inch wheels about $2300.00
Methanol about $34 for five gallons
116 octane leaded race gas about $11 per gallon

Setting four Maxton Land-Speed Records with my daily driver---PRICELESS
(I set a record, reset that record, and then reset it again.)
Now stands at 140.106 MPH for the Maxton Mile---class E/FCC
Then I changed from methanol to race gas and set another record--138.454 MPH in E/FSS

By next season I will be running a 4.XX litre Jag engine and a pair of turbos to go with the 'spray'
Go-Fast is addictive.

Got any pictures? Have you gutted it?

Completely stock interior. I have to go through 'monkey-motion' to fold down the visors and revise the hinge system for the glove box. (Maybe Dzus fasteners?) The rear seat-back only goes to about 30 degrees before hitting the roll cage and back-seat foot-room is somewhat compromised. I am a contract writer for Primedia Group so the entire story must first appear, in this case, in Turbo and High-Tech Performance Magazine. I'll show a couple of non-magazine photos and the time slips as soon as I figure our how it's done here!
