item number 4 in picture....
it only has 3 bolts, 2 at the body and one going through the rubber mounts up into frame. my question is what kind of nut is on the top side of the single long bolt (#5)? i quickly looked underneath today and i could not see a nut or ability to even access a nut on the top of the single bolt.

The nut is captive inside the frame.

The fun begins when the nut breaks loose and spins with the bolt.

If it does, get a 1-1/2" hole saw and drill through the side of the frame inline with the bolt. That will give you access to the nut for further demolition. You can then plug the holes with snap type plugs and some body sealer.

You can see where I did mine in the pic below.

yeah those bolts are a pain, and even the southern rust free cars are hard too, the nut desing inside the frame sucks, so be prepared, driller's fix is the same i have done too.

oh Great, that's what i was afraid of..
my drivers side is rotted,my passenger side is like new??

i am guessing the other 2 bolts on the body are easy?

thanks for the insight.
