I'm going to swith the stocks bulbs for white leds. I can't figure out goe to get to the map lights, maybe its called the come lights, but they are the the lights for the front passengers above the center console. I tried looking all over for something to come apart and have a hidden screw or something, I dont want to tut on it too hard and snao something. I searched but couldn't finr it. I got all the other light down just need this one. Thanks

unscrew both the inner parts holding the sun visors. And open your sunroof and gently pull on the center of the headliner to release the velcro. This will allow you access to kinda pop out that whole top assembly - it will dangle from the headliner just enough to get your new bulbs in. It was the most frustrating part of my LED conversion.

Oh ok, got it. So the whole frame doesn't down. I thoght it did. Would've never guessed this one.. Thanks Andrizzle

I remember seeing this mentioned in a couple threads before. Once you remove the map light console the unit doesn't seem to go back in as flush as it was before. Anyone have a way to combat this?

Yea once you have it out dangling, the rear (where the sunglasses container sits), never sits flush with the headliner perfectly. What I did was I got some pieces of cardboard and up inside the headliner (accessing through the sunroof). I wedged the pieces inside to where it lifted the unit back up as to close the newly found gap. Two peices on each side did the trick. Easy fix for an awkward problem.

Not a bad idea...I was going to get some velcro and attach it to see if i can get it back up tight

Velcro inside the headliner seems worthless in these cars as the heat will wipe that right off for ya. Unless you gorilla glue the pieces to their respected bases.

Especially since we have black cars, the space between the headliner and the sheet metal act like an oven.

Trust me, poke ur head into the space from the sunroof and you will see where I wedged the cardboard.
