How come I don't have an "LS" emblem on my front fender?

Ever since I have had my LS it hasn't had the chrome emblem. Don't all of them have it?
 
My Gen I LSE doesn't have it?

Gee Whiz! You would think that I would know this by now. I have a Gen1 base model.
 
Maybe not all of them had it? But you are right I remember my 01 LS8 Sport had the chrome emblems on the side.
 
So smart. Get an LS again please :-) Everytime I look at your sig I think about selling my Gen1 LSE bumper and trading up for the Gen2 LSE front bumper and headlights.
 
DON'T DO THAT, cause you are unique cause every new member want the genII LSE bumper I did that cause I didn't find a genI LSE bumper, I hope maybe one day to buy another LS maybe a 2006
 
Haha alright I just love how clean the lower opening is. I wish it was a GenII but I'm going to start doing little things to update it. I'm going to try switching all the window switches out for the genII components.
 
If you want a cleaner interior you can paint silver your center console like I did to look like genII inside.

For the front lower grill you should paint them black.
 
I actually think I'm going to use a vinyl. Heres a pic of the a4 vinyl Audi uses on their interiors. There is a place close to me that has almost the exact vinyl. Its a dimensional vinyl that has X pattern all the way accross like a weave to give it texture. That way its not permanent and if I F it up it won't be expensive. I just need it to be warm outside really

^^ And that is my summer project this year! I'm stripping the faux wood from my trim with aircraft stripper and painting it silver.
 
^ That looks incredible! Great job man! I'm excited to see if I can get the GenII window switches into the Gen1. Shouldn't be a problem but has anyone tried it before? I just figured I use my windows more than anything in the car really. I'd much rather have the rocker switches from the GenII than what I have now.

There was one guy who swapped a complete gen 2 interior into his gen 1. Best bet is to get someone to post a pic of the backside and top to compare the shape.
 
will switching the switches even work? there are a couple of small differences, 2nd gen have auto down AND up for both front windows instead of just auto down
 
I have a Gen 1 2000 and mine has the gold badges all over the car
