Hood question I hope you can help with...

I don't often ask questions since I am an annoying know it all, but here goes...

For reasons that will continue to remain obscure, I need to remove the hood from my Mark VIII. The question I have (and I suspect that Jamie can answer this) is do I need to pull the wiper cowl? It looks like there may be a set of bolts back there that you have to pull the cowl to reach.

Also, how do you disconnect the hood support struts?

4 bolts on the hood and just remove the c-clips off of the gas springs and pop them off the ball. Just get two guys so you dont damage anything.

yeah you dont have to unbolt the hinge from the car, take the bolts out of the hood side of the hinge, otherwise getting the other bolts out is a pain. but like said above, its that easy!!
