Questions about this.

1. Does it work?

2. Is there a decent walkthrough on how to do it somewhere?

3. If not, would someone be willing to pm me some pics/ideas on how I could accomplish this?

The reason I want to do this is because I'm going out to the strip next weekend and I have a buddy with a 94' Mustang GT that I want to catch off guard. We're both stock at the moment.. I just thought that getting some cold air to my motor couldn't possibly hurt.

It'll only be a temporary fix until I begin spending thousands of my hard earned dollars on LMS parts.. :D

Any other ideas on quick, dirt cheap mod's I can do to the car?

(Pref. in my garage, and no Jmodding. I'm not drilling ANYTHING on my tranny.)

Thanks in advance for replies.

hmmm.

you could.
1.) detatch the front sway bar, this will help your launch.
2.) Pull some PSI out of your rear tires, this will also help the launch
3.) some may disagree, but when i pulled out my airfilter on my intake, i got the best results
4.)you could try the ram-air, but i think its results will very.
5.)keep your car as cold as possible ( bring ice to stack ontop of the intake mani.)
6.) Dont do a huge burnout, just get into the water and punch the gas until u hook.

Also, i think that the mark should be able to take a 94 GT easy.

this is a video of my ram air mod, before and after

This could work and is easy... but only if you don't have the air ride. Filter fits where the compressor was.

You can remove the silencer and lower the compressor for plenty of room for any duct scheme.

You should be able to take him pretty easily from a 25mph roll, or 60mph roll. Off the line he might get you a little bit because he's lighter and has more torque, but 1/4 mile ET should be similar with you having the MPH advantage.

I raced my friends brothers 94 GT and beat him by 2 cars. I am completly stock. He has 2.5'' exhaust (from the flomaster mufflers back) and is a 5 speed. We raced from a stop and he got me off the line but i reeled him quicklty. Yea for top end!!!!!

Pretty much so.. I just found it very easy to take out the shot compressor and then just hang a cone filter from the air box hole. Works very slick and cost only the $14 for the 4" tube and $40 for the K&N Cone Filter.

I was lucky and got a free LMS MAF with my 94 once Ray found it in his garage and finally sent it. LOL...
